It's hard to believe that summer is here for most of us! We hope that you are able to spend time doing things you enjoy with family and friends as well as furthering your knowledge about play!!
Beth Tepper will be sending out information about the blog that we'll be using for the statewide book study, When Play Isn't Easy. When you registered for the book study, you indicated that you were also interested in taking the course for one graduate credit through Viterbo.
These will be the course requirements to receive the credit.
• Read the assigned chapter weekly. (If you are on vacation one week or more, just let us know that you'll be catching up the next week).
• Post/respond on the blog at least 2 times per week.
• Complete play self-assessment.
• Complete play checklist/action plan.
• Complete one additional assignment (see syllabus). Indicate who your audience is. Cite sources.
• Impact Survey.
• Email the play self-assessment, impact survey and assignment to cprendergast@cesa1.k12.wi.us by August 15, 2016. Grades will be ready by the end of August.
***FYI, we understand that it's summer and that you may not be able to complete a play checklist on a student because you are not in the classroom. If that's the case, please think about observing a child you see on a regular basis (child, grandchild, neighbor, etc.), just to experience the checklist.
***If you have an idea for an assignment other than those that are on the syllabus, please let me know. The project is meant to be something that is useful to you in your current setting!
If you are still planning to take the book study for credit, please complete the registration forms that are attached, using the course information below. Viterbo has asked that you print each page individually. A check (or credit card) can be used for Viterbo in the amount of $110. In addition, CESA 1 requires a separate check for $40.
